I completed my probationary period yesterday, & today I was offered a hefty promotion. It would mean almost a quarter of my monthly salary on top of what I'm already earning. I don't know if I'll take it, I've never been partial to money & it would mean moving away from my friends. I've just decorated my monitor & stolen my own swivel chair with arms, damnit, ARMS. It's the stuff that dreams are made of! I do need a roof over my head next year, though.

Usually, such an occurrence would result in my friends & I getting wankered on discounted vintage wine & then phoning Tyrone at 3am to drop us over some supplies. Instead, I'm going to drink a glass of hot juice & go to bed with Doris Lessing. Day 18 of hardcore detox, I miss caffeine more than anything else.
Yesterday, whilst reading a book in work, I found myself typing out quotes that related to gender binaries & e-mailing them to myself. It's time to get back to university, I think.
If I were to take this promotion then there'd be no more reading novels all day & playing Super Sneaky Spy Guy. I don't know what to do. Moneymoneymoney, it makes me sick!
Being a grown-up isn't all briefcases, new car smells, aftershave kisses & congratulatory weekend cinema outings, as I'd anticipated. I feel duped!
